Kevin Sinfield, very well deserved young man. Also Robbie Burrow, what strength in the face of all he's going through.

I think Kevin Sinfield should have been made a "sir"

Honours list is a farce

The Uk doesn’t generally award honours to those who demand them and have ‘history’ with HMRC.

Despite his popularity and charitable work, his gong is a long way off.

Too many get honours for doing nothing while many who do something never get any.

The whole system is outdated and should be scrapped!

These awards show how vacuous celebrity as pervaded our culture .
Ephemeral nobodies that will be forgotten in 6 months given gongs you once had to defeat the Spanish Armada to get .
That woman goalkeeper with the foul mouth ( what's her name) says it all......

I was surprised to read that in the history of Rugby League not one single knighthood had been awarded to anyone in the game .
Is this correct .?

off Wikipedia

With United, he won the Premier League title six times

the FA Cup twice and the UEFA Champions League in 1999

four seasons with Real Madrid,[11] winning the La Liga championship

Beckham made his England debut on 1 September 1996, at the age of 21. He was captain for six years, earning 58 caps during his tenure

He made 115 career appearances in total, appearing at three FIFA World Cup tournaments, in 1998, 2002 and 2006 and two UEFA European Championship tournaments, in 2000 and 2004. He held the England appearance record for an outfield player until 2016.

He was runner-up in the Ballon d'Or in 1999, twice runner-up for FIFA World Player of the Year (1999 and 2001) and in 2004 was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players

That's what he's done
